Mitchell plays the doting husband, knowing every moment brings him closer to fulfilling a darker plan.
Once on the water, Sam’s chronic seasickness incapacitates her quickly. Mitchell comforts her just long enough to keep up appearances—then sails her unconscious body to a prearranged meeting with Dr Felicity Snow aboard Mon Homme.
What Mitchell discovers there changes everything: Sam has been secretly undergoing hormone injections and preparing for egg retrieval. She had planned an entirely independent reproductive future—one that excluded him.
