The words swirl within me, a tempest of thoughts and emotions. I’m a writer, a conjurer of worlds, a whisperer of secrets. My mind dances with prose. My heart beats in metaphors. But there’s a catch—a cruel twist of fate that binds my hands and silences my voice. Anxiety—that relentless companion—holds me captive, weaving a web of fear around my every word.
Talent drips from my fingertips like ink. I can spin tales that transport readers to distant galaxies, evoke tears with a single sentence, and ignite laughter in the darkest of nights. But when it comes to sharing my work, my chest tightens, and my breath falters. The cursor blinks on the blank page, mocking my hesitation. What if they hate it? What if they see through me—the trembling artist behind the façade?

My intelligence is both a blessing and a curse. I dissect language, analyse syntax, and unravel the mysteries of storytelling. Yet, my mind is a labyrinth of doubts. I question every metaphor, every comma. Is this profound or pretentious? Will they notice my borrowed brilliance? The weight of expectation crushes me—a Sisyphean task of pushing words uphill, only to watch them tumble back into oblivion.
And then there’s my empathy. I feel the world—the jagged edges of broken hearts, the whispered confessions in crowded rooms. I absorb pain like a sponge. My characters bear the scars. But empathy is a double-edged sword. I sense the unspoken grief in a passing glance, the hidden stories etched on faces. It overwhelms me—the cacophony of emotions echoing in my chest. So, I retreat.
I hide in my psychological sanctuary, a fortress of solitude. Here, I am safe from judgment, from rejection. The walls are lined with half-finished manuscripts, their ink fading like forgotten dreams. I read them aloud to the shadows, my voice trembling. They listen, nonjudgmental, as if they understand my fear. But they cannot publish, cannot connect. They remain prisoners of my anxiety.
I yearn to share my gift—to touch lives, ignite imaginations, and mend souls. But the bridge between creation and delivery is rickety, swaying with doubt. I watch others soar—their words celebrated, their impact felt. Meanwhile, I cling to my hiding place, my treasure trove of unwritten novels and unspoken truths.
The world awaits my stories—the ones that unravel the human condition, that bridge the gaps between hearts. But I am a paradox—a writer who fears the very act of writing. So, I pen letters to the wind, poems for the moon, and essays for the stars. They listen, but they do not read. They do not judge.
Perhaps one day, I’ll step out of my sanctuary. Perhaps I’ll find courage in vulnerability, strength in imperfection. Until then, I’ll keep my words close, my heart closer. For I have so much to give, but I must keep it all to myself—for now.
