Sometimes, we’ll find a thriller book or movie that fits our taste. It takes us by surprise. It keeps us hanging on to the text, like how we savoured sweet, velvety chocolate the first time!

I wanted to write a thriller plot just like that but sell the sugary substance to someone who had never eaten chocolate. My ultimate goal is to describe to a stranger its silky texture, the alluring melt-in-the-mouth blend of slick warmth, sweetness, and cocoa so that their taste buds will wake to a new sensation. I want them to love it when it hits their tongue.
SEETHINGS was my personal project to close this gap—invent a new thriller plot based on a taste sensation!

Not every bad guy has to be caught. Not every story needs a red bow, happy-ever-after ending. If chocolate is involved in the plot development, the story can go in any direction and still taste right. Good-over-evil cliches can be challenged. With clever writing, a reader will empathise with the most evil character and still love the chocolaty goodness that came with them.
SEETHINGS is my style of drippy chocolate story that takes all these elements to the edge. It makes Hannibal Lecter look like a hack.
Now, will you eat my chocolate and take a bite?
-Michael Forman (Author of Dark Fiction)

“Forman’s writing style is artful, with the protagonist Mitchell’s warped thought processes masterfully exposed. The author has a powerful and vivid command of language and his word pictures are stark and disturbingly real.”
– Linda J Bettenay, author of ‘Secrets Mothers Keep’ and ‘Wishes For Starlight’.
