Moreton Island lies just a couple of sailing hours away from Queensland’s capital city, Brisbane. It’s an idyllic destination for quality sunshine, surf and sand partying. You’d never think it could be a scene of a most bizarre and sadistic murder.
An insidious twist lies between the deep blue, the soft sand and the turquoise waves around the island.
Natasha is the daughter of Nina DeJong. She’s young, attractive and hot for Mitchell. She’s also lured him into a world of lust.

She looks just like her mother. She tastes like her. She’s every bit the woman he once loved…. but he fears she knows more than she’s letting on.
Will she find out who really ended her mother’s life?

This book has been a blast to write. It takes to the water, using my sailing knowledge to bring a unique mix of neo-noir erotica to the waves of the bay.
I’ve enjoyed revisiting Moreton Bay for this story. Between 2005 and 2010, I sailed Moreton Bay. Moreton Island was a favourite place to anchor my small yacht. Tangalooma was my first choice, but then I found a small bay to the south, away from the busy tourist centre of the resort.

Lucinda Bay soon became my haven. It was a quieter, calmer place, and the tidal current was much slower there. I could go to sleep knowing there wouldn’t be overnight issues.

One day, while at anchor, I accidentally dropped a red plastic bucket into the water. I tried to get it back with my pole hook, but it drifted away too fast.
Four hours later, I heard something bumping against the boat’s hull. It was my red bucket. It’d floated back to me on the return tide!
It got me thinking about how I could work that into a murder story, where a body would drift away and then drift right back to the place where it entered the water.
The story is now available from the link below.
SEETHINGS II follows the return of the Storm Killer as a body on a secluded beach in Moreton Bay, igniting fear and denial. While police dismiss the link, the media doesn’t. Mitchell Felding forms a dangerous bond with a man who understands his darkest impulses. When Natasha enters his life, carrying love letters from her murdered mother, intimacy deepens, and truth closes in. Some futures are inherited. Some have escaped.

‘Forman’s writing style is artful, with the protagonist Mitchell’s warped thought processes masterfully exposed. The author has a powerful and vivid command of language and his word pictures are stark and disturbingly real.’
