There is another thing I need to say before I finish. We’ve become a joke. People think we’re the ideal happy couple, but you’re condescending when we’re alone. You criticize me, tease me and tell me I’m worthless. I cry, and you don’t care that I’m upset. All I have left is my thin veneer of civility to put on a happy face so you can feel better about yourself.
No, I’m not the narcissistic one. I’m just trying to survive this relentless, cold, cruel war of yours. I have to switch off my emotions to avoid being hurt. I’m doing my best, but what you do to me is too much. I’m losing the fight.
I’m tired of battling with you and sick of all this… of you… us.
