An unspoken reverence lingers in the air when we behold the female form. It is not merely desire or some crude instinct easily dismissed—it is awe, admiration, and quiet, stirring poetry written into our very nature.
The curve of a hip, the grace of movement, the delicate strength beneath soft skin—these things captivate us in ways words can barely capture. And yet, we say nothing.
Contemporary thought tells us that such admiration is unwelcome and that acknowledging this innate response is to transgress. We are warned that our gaze is a burden, our words are threats, and even our silence is somehow culpable. And so, we become cautious, hesitant, and uncertain. The natural is stifled. The instinct is policed.

But attraction is not objectification. To see beauty is not diminishing it, nor is reverence a form of possession. A man who admires a woman’s form does not seek to reduce her to it—he marvels at the artistry of existence itself. Yet, this sentiment is too easily misunderstood and readily condemned in the current social climate. And so, we grow quiet. We suppress. We suffer.
SEETHINGS speaks of this. I wrote it to highlight the challenges males have endured while navigating today’s social change. (Free to download for a limited time)
But the pendulum always swings.
Perhaps understanding will return in time. Maybe we will again find a place where men need not feel ashamed of their nature, where appreciation is not mistaken for offence. In the future, I hope we will no longer have to pretend we do not see what has always been beautiful.
