The burden I’m faced with today is lemons. We have far too many. Our tree is laden with them.
It’s been laden with the yellow fruit all season. We can’t eat them quick enough or give them away fast enough to keep up with it. Using lemon for food and Corona beers just won’t cut it. The last thing we want to do is watch the excess rot on the ground.

“Alcohol! I know! Let’s make Limoncello,” says Margo, joyfully.
I’ve never tasted this Italian liqueur before. I can’t say I’ve ever seen a bottle of it at the store either. Margo assures me that she has found a fantastic recipe that’ll introduce us to this sweet, citrus drink and make use of our lemon glut. She says it’s guaranteed to give our Friday nights a real kick.

And there they are; every empty spirit bottle we have is now filled with fresh Limoncello. In twenty days, it’ll be ready to drink. In twenty days, I feel my Fridays are about to get kinda citrusy. 🙂

Another option for the laundry – cut a lemon in half and put it in with sheets, towels, etc.
Will do. Thanks for the tip.
