Instagramming For Behind-The-Scenes Content

There’s a soft-sell online advertising alternative for fiction authors. It’s Instagram. The soft-sell approach is just as important for online promotions as the direct ones. I’ve found that new followers come from every corner. Instagramming fits the bill!

No Females in Lyrca. Just Me Doing Me Things.

I guess the problem is that everyone has something to sell—there’s too much. The buy-this-buy-that online bombardments by lycra-clad influencers quickly turn off some people.

I use Instagram to post snippets of my life. I don’t demand anything. Sometimes, it’s about what I’m doing at that very moment and nothing more. Sometimes it’s something silly. I recently found a tiny Luke Skywalker doll in the garden and then photographed him in different poses. Creating the photo’s captions was an absolute hoot—and hilarious for those following the images!

Lately, I’ve been pulling shots from my trip across Australia. Colourful shots seem to attract interest… and plenty of people are paying attention to images on Instagram!

Popping some Insta-code into this page allows an up-to-date feed of those Instagram pics to show up here. Now that it’s set up on the LATEST page, it takes no effort. I photograph something for Insta, and it automatically appears here. Visitors get to see a peek of this author’s life as it happens.
