Mitchell and Natasha lounge on a quiet beach at sunset, Lucinda Bay glowing gold behind them. She curls into him, playful and warm, asking about the weather, photography, and what it’s like to be a muse. Mitchell, flattered, indulges her curiosity and affection, describing how the best days—like this one—arrive unannounced.
Their conversation dances between flirtation and intimacy. Natasha jokes about bridesmaids and boudoir photography, teasing Mitchell about his professional encounters. He assures her—gently, sincerely—that none of them ever meant anything. That she is different. Special. His muse, truly.
She believes him. Mostly.
They discuss her mother, Nina, and the reasons behind her separation from Mitchell. Mitchell offers a careful version of the truth—citing youth, diverging paths, and unfulfilled dreams. Natasha listens, pensive, and then kisses him softly. “She was crazy to leave you,” she says.
Later, in the shallow surf, they drift together under a star-speckled sky. The sea rocks them gently. Natasha relaxes completely, surrendering to the moment’s serenity. Mitchell holds her, whispers reassurances, and lets her float peacefully.
When she finally stirs, she’s surprised at how much time has passed. “It felt like I left the world,” she says, clinging to him.
“You did,” he replies. “That’s what it means to be truly seen.”
And together, they wade slowly back to the boat.
