Tony and Mitchell arrange to meet at Captain Burke Park. Tony is anxious—haunted by the news of a woman’s body found in the bay. He suspects Mitchell, but needs confirmation.
At the park, life moves peacefully—joggers pass, families play. Mitchell arrives with hot chips, casual, amused. His remarks are sharp, mocking, disturbingly playful. He toys with Tony, then confesses: the body was Natasha. He admits to her murder with chilling clarity and no remorse.
Tony reels, revolted, near fainting. A concerned jogger intervenes, misreading the scene as a lover’s quarrel. Mitchell plays along, mocking both the stranger and Tony’s collapse. When alone again, Tony confronts him. Mitchell remains unfazed. “It was beautiful,” he says. “Not careless. Not random. Perfect.”
Their argument shifts to morality. Mitchell dismantles truth itself—claiming that Tony, too, lives a lie. He reminds him of Amanda, of blurred lines and secret sins. “You need me,” Mitchell taunts. “I’m your darkness made visible.”
Tony’s silence says it all.
Later, Mitchell is at home, crafting another SIM-card charm for Sam’s teddy bear. She praises his creativity. He smiles warmly, hides the final piece in plain sight, and turns off the garage light.
Another charm. Another chapter closed.
Her name will never be spoken again.
