Social media is a brilliant way to share things. Real-time content shows the world our special stuff. Live news, concerts, seminars, meetings, announcements, critiques, ideas, conversations, and a cache of creativity can be live-streamed. These are blessed times in which we live. Social media is just fantastic!
But we mustn’t forget the flipside of LIVE. Schoolyard bullying, mass killings — the live-stream feature on social media applications is also the best way to share evil activities too. Oh yes, this is the other side of live streaming.

There is a push to stop live streaming or, at the very least, delay its transmission — to do two important things.
- Remove evil’s instant thrill feel.
- Stop evil content from reaching the public consciousness.
And it’s not only our psychopathic tendencies that need blocking. Our arbitrary pitchfork and lynching side needs filtering, too. Some of us believe that the law of the land isn’t good enough — our judgment is better. Live-streaming our justice on social media feels like a better law.
What a wonderful world. *embed sarcasm here*
What about adding an in-built delay to live streams? Live television does this. It has been doing it for ages. It does this for, in part, to stop those weird psychopathic tendencies from working their way into its live feeds!
