I’ve done it! Another novel is locked, loaded and ready to go to print! I can’t wait for you to get a hold of it and read it! I’m going nuts with excitement. Oh, hang on. I may have forgotten something important.
Every author knows of the hurdles encountered when engaging in a large writing project like a novel. There’s writer’s block. Check. Some procrastination. Yup. Distractions too? Sure, why not throw some my way? Doubt? No thanks, I’ve already got plenty of those.
If any writing journey sails beyond chapter five and there’s still a stiff wind behind it for chapter six, there’s a good chance a final one will be reached. And, when the writer finds the end, then what? Is it time to weigh anchor and chill our way over to the Island Paradise of Best Seller?
Hardly. We’re actually not all that far from home port. It’s a big journey ahead and hasn’t sailed in a day. Nine-tenths of the voyage is yet to come. The next anchorage is just off the shores of First Edit at Self Discipline Harbour! That’s where we’ll stay for a while. Get used to the scenery.

First edits can become many more. My first novel had thirteen. That’s it you see above this line, available for free from Smashwords.

Now, I must sail my boat over to that stupid harbour I mentioned earlier. *Groan*
Wish me patience, oh, and luck!
