Exploring North Dandalup Dam: A Perfect Picnic Spot

Margo had a great idea yesterday: ‘Let’s go on a picnic!’ She said. We weren’t doing much and had the time to take a mystery trip. I’m still new to the Western state, and everything she shows me is an original experience.

‘Sure. Where?’

‘North Dandalup Dam.’

By the time I’d finished doing what I was doing, she had a basket of food packed and was standing at the door. You see, we’d been stuck indoors for a day or two because of the weather. It hadn’t been nice. This day was a fine one and she was anxious to make use of it. So off we went.

People can camp around the dam, although I didn’t see anyone doing that. (I guess it’s a bad time, right?)

As you can see, this region is not unlike those in Dayboro, Queensland. There are hobby farms, undulating hills and pockets of incredible fertility everywhere. The dam is fine, too, but that’s just the destination. It’s all about the journey, right?

Enjoy your journeys wherever you may go.
